Who we are

A dedicated Australia desk within PJRJ

PJRJ Australia Desk is ASIC Pty Ltd, ABN, and ATO — GST/BAS, company tax, and PAYG/STP if you have Australian staff — for Indian groups that need a proprietary limited company they can actually operate, not a registered-office shell. Unlisted Pty Ltd equity from India is typically FEMA ODI. Franking, Division 7A-style owner-extraction questions, and the India–Australia DTAA are year-end conversations, not incorporation upsells. Delhi or Gurgaon partner; Australian accountants for local accounts and ATO lodgements.

ASIC annual review, financial reports when you are required to lodge them, BAS on the GST cycle the ATO assigns, and STP payroll are different portals. An ACN is not an ABN and neither is GST registration. We will not quote an Australian GST rate as if it were an Indian 18% analogue and call it advice. India 15CA/CB for dividends, interest, and services uses the same numbers as the ATO return.

Why PJRJ

Why clients use the Australia desk

1

One desk, two jurisdictions

ASIC, ATO, and India tax positions stay on the same file — not an Australian bookkeeper who cannot speak FEMA and an Indian advisor who has never seen a BAS.

2

Calendar-led, not brochure-led

Annual review, financial reports, BAS, company tax, and STP each have their own clock. We track the year-end and ATO due dates with the Australian partner.

3

Partner-led from Delhi and Gurgaon

You speak to a PJRJ partner. Australian statutory accounts and ATO lodgements that must be signed locally are executed with Australian accountants.

4

India group reporting in the same numbers

Year-end packs, treaty credits, and FEMA papers use the same facts as the Australian accounts — so consolidation does not start from a second set of books.

Typically an annual review. Director and share changes should be lodged when they happen. Large proprietary companies may also need to lodge financial reports. We track the review date with the Australian accountant.

When GST turnover reaches the current ATO registration threshold, or earlier if you register voluntarily. After registration, you lodge BAS on the period the ATO assigns. We check the threshold against your forecast.

No. Indian residents remain taxable on worldwide income unless a specific exemption applies. Treaty relief under the India–Australia DTAA, PE analysis, dividend characterisation, and FEMA ODI reporting still apply. We coordinate both files.

Yes. We coordinate BAS and STP with the Australian partner where they apply, and the India tax desk handles Form 15CA/CB, withholding, and FEMA when money moves between the Indian and Australian entities.
