Dubai desk · Investor Visa

An investor visa is residence tied to a real economic stake in the UAE — usually a shareholding in a mainland or free-zone company, and in some cases a long-term Golden Visa track. It is not a tourist stamp and it is not automatic when you pay for a licence. PJRJ lines the visa up with the company file, then UAE partners run immigration, medicals, and Emirates ID.

Tracks we distinguish

Partner / investor visa on a licence

Residence sponsored through your shareholding in a mainland or free-zone company. Quota, duration, and whether a 25% (or other) stake is enough depend on that authority and the current ICP/GDRFA rules.

Long-term Golden Visa

Multi-year residence for defined investment, property, or talent categories. Thresholds and eligible assets change. We confirm the live list rather than quoting a brochure AED figure as the rule for your file.

Family sponsorship

Spouse, children, and in some cases parents can be sponsored once the principal visa and salary or income tests are met. Each dependent has their own medical and Emirates ID file.

Typical investor-visa steps

  1. 1Confirm the company is incorporated and the shareholding matches what immigration will accept.
  2. 2File the entry permit or change-of-status request through GDRFA / ICP channels with the UAE partner.
  3. 3Complete the medical examination at an approved centre.
  4. 4Biometrics and Emirates ID typing — the ID must stay live with the visa.
  5. 5Visa stamping or digital issuance, then a calendar for renewal before the licence or visa lapses.

Documents we typically assemble

  • Passport copy and photograph to UAE specifications
  • Trade licence and memorandum / share register showing the investor’s stake
  • Entry permit, visit visa, or current residence status
  • Bank statements or investment evidence where the chosen track requires them
  • Sector accreditation or regulator letters only if that Golden Visa or talent category asks for them
  • Existing Emirates ID if you already hold UAE residence

What the visa is for — and what it is not

  • Lawful residence and work in connection with that licensed business
  • A base to sponsor eligible family once income and housing tests are met
  • Not a substitute for Indian tax residence tests — days in India and the DTAA tie-breaker still matter
  • Not a guarantee of a UAE bank account; banks run their own KYC
  • Not a Golden Visa unless you separately meet that category

Immigration categories, validity (two, three, five, or ten years in marketing language), and investment thresholds are set by UAE authorities and change. PJRJ does not stamp visas from India. We prepare the company and KYC pack; GDRFA/ICP processing is executed with UAE partners. Indian ITR, RNOR, and foreign-asset reporting stay on the PJRJ tax file.

Not always. Many clients need a partner visa on their trade licence. The Golden Visa is a separate long-term category with its own investment, property, or talent tests. We map which track fits before you pay immigration fees.

A partner visa needs a licensed company and an accepted shareholding. Property or talent Golden Visa tracks can be independent of a new company — those have their own evidence rules.

No. Indian tax follows residence and source rules. A UAE visa is one fact. Days in India, a home in India, and the India–UAE DTAA tie-breaker still decide the Indian return.
